Give your agency access to Search Console

Steps

1. In Search Console, choose your property and open Settings › Users and permissions.
2. Click Add user.
3. Enter the first email address your agency sent you.
4. Set the permission to Full.
5. Click Add. Repeat for each email address.

Our notes

• Which permission to give: Full. It shows all the data and allows a few actions, such as requesting indexing. Restricted shows most data but can’t take actions. Owner can add and remove people, so keep that for your business.
• Stay the verified owner. A verified owner proved control of the site with a DNS record, HTML file or tag. If an agency verified the site and later leaves, delete their verification token under Unused ownership tokens after you remove them, or they can regain owner access.
• Common mistake: adding the agency as a delegated owner “to be safe”. An owner can remove you. Full is enough.
