Plumbing companies

Plumbing marketing that answers the phone and books the job.

Octomize runs Google Ads for plumbing companies: Search campaigns split by emergency, replacement and drain work, Local Services Ads in the US, and Meta Ads where an offer fits. We track calls to the keyword that brought them and feed booked jobs back to Google, so your budget goes to the searches that turn into paid work.

What's included

  • Google Ads Search split by emergency, replacement and drain work
  • Local Services Ads setup and lead review for US plumbers
  • Call tracking by keyword, plus call assets scheduled to your staffed hours
  • Offline conversion imports of booked and paid jobs from your job software
  • Landing pages per service, with the phone number at the top
  • Meta Ads for water heater offers, maintenance plans and retargeting

What makes plumbing ads different

Most plumbing searches come from someone with water on the floor: a burst pipe, a blocked drain, a water heater that quit. They call the first company that looks open and close by, so the phone call is the conversion and a missed call is a paid click handed to a competitor. A water heater replacement, a repipe or a sewer line job is worth many drain clearings, and those customers compare quotes, read reviews and fill in forms.

We build campaigns around that split: emergency repair, planned replacement, and drain and maintenance work, each with its own budget, hours and landing page. Emergency campaigns run while someone answers, and call assets show only in those hours. Location targeting follows the radius your vans cover, not the whole metro area.

In the US, “Plumbers” is a Local Services Ads category (Local Services Help), and you pay per lead, including some calls you miss during business hours (Local Services Help). Google started moving US plumbing Local Services Ads into Google Ads as Performance Max campaigns with pay-per-lead goals in August 2026 (Google Ads Help). Our guide to HVAC and home services ads covers how Local Services Ads and Search share the work.

What we run for plumbers

Google Ads Search is the core, with Local Services Ads beside it in the US. Call tracking records the keyword and ad behind each call, and your job software tells Google which calls became booked, paid jobs. With those imports in place, bidding can favour water heater and sewer searches over cheap calls that never book. The phone side is explained in call tracking for lead generation.

Meta Ads play a smaller part. A homeowner with a flooded kitchen searches Google, so we use Meta for water heater offers, maintenance plans and retargeting people who visited your site.

Shared-lead marketplaces sell one request to several plumbers, while your own ads bring leads only you receive. See our wider lead generation work.

Where we work

Plumbing companies in the United States, the United Kingdom and the EU. In the US we add Local Services Ads; in Europe we check which ad formats your country supports before we plan the budget.

How it works

  1. 01

    Map your jobs

We list the work you want more of, what each job is worth and when someone answers the phone. That sets the campaigns, the hours and the cost per lead you can afford.

  2. 02

    Track calls to jobs

We set up call tracking and connect your job software or CRM, so Google sees which calls turned into booked and paid jobs.

  3. 03

    Launch by service area

Campaigns go live inside the radius your vans cover, with emergency campaigns on during staffed hours and a shared list of negatives for DIY, parts and job searches.

  4. 04

    Shift budget to paid work

Once booked jobs flow back, we move bidding and budget toward replacement and sewer work and away from calls that never book.

What we do: the system

We don't just run ads. We own everything that determines outcomes.

  1. 01 · Strategy

    Digital strategy

Before we touch an account, we set the plan: which channels, what budget, what a lead or a sale is worth to you, and what we test first.

    • Channel mix and budget split
    • Target CPA or ROAS set from your margins
    • A 90-day plan with clear milestones
  2. 02 · Landing page

    Landing pages + CRO

Most paid traffic is lost on the page, not in the ad. We build or rework the page around one offer and one action, then keep improving it on real visitor behavior.

    • New pages or fixes to the ones you have
    • Message matched to the ad and the search
    • CRO roadmap from session recordings
  3. 03 · Tracking

    Tracking & measurement

If the numbers are wrong, every optimization is a guess. We set up tracking that holds up against ad blockers and cookie limits, and send real outcomes back to the ad platforms.

    • GA4 and GTM, client- and server-side
    • Enhanced Conversions and Meta CAPI
    • Offline imports: qualified lead, booked call, closed deal
  4. 04 · Ads

    Performance marketing

With the plan, the page and the tracking in place, we build the campaigns and optimize them every week on real data.

    • Google Ads and Meta Ads builds or restructures
    • Keyword, audience and creative testing
    • Bidding toward profit, not just volume
  5. 05 · Reporting

    Profit-focused reporting

You see sales, profit and lead quality, the numbers your business runs on, not clicks and impressions.

    • KPIs agreed with you up front
    • ProfitMetrics when margin data is available
    • Regular updates in plain English
  6. 06 · Growth

    Business growth support

Once the system runs, the data shows where else you can grow. We bring you the ideas.

    • New products or services the data points to
    • New channels and markets to test
    • Offer and pricing ideas from what converts

FAQ

Questions we get asked.

Are Local Services Ads worth it for plumbers?

In the US, yes, run alongside Search. Local Services Ads charge per lead and take the top of the page for broad plumber searches, but give you no keywords, copy or landing page. Search covers the high-value jobs where you want that control.

Should I buy leads from a marketplace or run my own ads?

Marketplace leads can go to several plumbers at once, so you race competitors for the same customer. Ads in your own account bring leads only you receive, and the data stays with you. Many plumbers start with both and drop the marketplace once their own ads cover the schedule.

Should plumbing ads run 24/7?

Only if someone picks up the phone 24/7. If nights go to voicemail, run emergency campaigns during staffed hours and send after-hours visitors to a booking form instead.

Why do my plumbing ads bring DIY and job-seeker calls?

Broad keywords match searches such as "how to unclog a drain" or "plumber apprentice jobs". A shared negative keyword list and a weekly look at the search terms report keep most of them out.

Do you work with plumbing companies outside the US?

Yes, in the UK and the EU too. Local Services Ads categories differ by country, so outside the US we check what your market offers and build the account around Search.
