Water damage restoration

Water damage restoration marketing for the 2 a.m. phone call.

Octomize runs Google Ads for water damage restoration companies: emergency Search campaigns scheduled to the hours your dispatch answers, Local Services Ads in the US, and landing pages built for a caller standing in a flooded room. We track each call to the job it became and import the job value once the insurance claim pays, so Google learns which searches bring mitigation work.

What's included

  • Emergency Search campaigns scheduled to your dispatch hours
  • Local Services Ads setup and lead review for US restoration companies
  • Call tracking with recordings, so you can hear which calls were real jobs
  • Offline conversion imports of won jobs and paid claim values
  • Landing pages with the phone number, service area and how you work with insurers
  • Separate campaigns for follow-on work such as mold remediation

What makes restoration ads different

Water damage work arrives at the worst hour. A homeowner finds a flooded basement in the middle of the night, or a property manager hears about a burst pipe on the fourth floor, and they want a crew on site now. Searches are few and expensive, you compete with national franchises and pay-per-call networks, and the job tends to go to the first company that answers.

The money works differently from a repair trade. Many jobs run through a homeowner’s insurance claim, so the final value depends on the adjuster and can land weeks after the first call. One customer can turn into extraction, drying and later rebuild work. An account that counts a call as the finish line can’t tell a three-day drying job from a wrong number.

In the US, “Water damage services” is a Local Services Ads category (Local Services Help). Google ranks those ads partly on your responsiveness, and missed calls can count against you (Local Services Help). A staffed night line helps your Search ads and your Local Services ranking at the same time.

What we run for restoration companies

Google Ads Search sits at the core, split by intent: active emergencies such as “flooded basement cleanup” or “burst pipe water damage”, and slower follow-on work such as mold remediation, kept apart so budgets match. Ads run around the clock only when your dispatch does. Local Services Ads join in the US.

Call tracking ties each call to its ad, and conversion tracking sends Google the jobs you won and, once the claim pays, the job value. Your landing pages lead with the phone number, your service area, a response time you can keep and how you deal with insurers. If you also take plumbing calls, see our page for plumbing companies. The wider approach is our lead generation work.

Where we work

Restoration companies in the United States, the United Kingdom and the EU. Insurance and claim handling differ by country, so we plan tracking around how your jobs get approved and paid in your market.

How it works

  1. 01

    Learn how your jobs pay

We go through your job types, how insurance approval works for you and how long it takes to get paid. That decides what we track and when.

  2. 02

    Set up call tracking

We track calls to the keyword and ad, record them, and connect your job management software or CRM, so a mitigation job and a wrong number stop looking the same.

  3. 03

    Launch emergency campaigns

Campaigns go live in your service area during the hours your phones are staffed, with negatives for DIY drying, insurance lawyers and job seekers.

  4. 04

    Bid on paid claims

As won jobs and claim values come back, we shift budget toward the searches and areas that bring insured mitigation work.

What we do: the system

We don't just run ads. We own everything that determines outcomes.

  1. 01 · Strategy

    Digital strategy

Before we touch an account, we set the plan: which channels, what budget, what a lead or a sale is worth to you, and what we test first.

    • Channel mix and budget split
    • Target CPA or ROAS set from your margins
    • A 90-day plan with clear milestones
  2. 02 · Landing page

    Landing pages + CRO

Most paid traffic is lost on the page, not in the ad. We build or rework the page around one offer and one action, then keep improving it on real visitor behavior.

    • New pages or fixes to the ones you have
    • Message matched to the ad and the search
    • CRO roadmap from session recordings
  3. 03 · Tracking

    Tracking & measurement

If the numbers are wrong, every optimization is a guess. We set up tracking that holds up against ad blockers and cookie limits, and send real outcomes back to the ad platforms.

    • GA4 and GTM, client- and server-side
    • Enhanced Conversions and Meta CAPI
    • Offline imports: qualified lead, booked call, closed deal
  4. 04 · Ads

    Performance marketing

With the plan, the page and the tracking in place, we build the campaigns and optimize them every week on real data.

    • Google Ads and Meta Ads builds or restructures
    • Keyword, audience and creative testing
    • Bidding toward profit, not just volume
  5. 05 · Reporting

    Profit-focused reporting

You see sales, profit and lead quality, the numbers your business runs on, not clicks and impressions.

    • KPIs agreed with you up front
    • ProfitMetrics when margin data is available
    • Regular updates in plain English
  6. 06 · Growth

    Business growth support

Once the system runs, the data shows where else you can grow. We bring you the ideas.

    • New products or services the data points to
    • New channels and markets to test
    • Offer and pricing ideas from what converts

FAQ

Questions we get asked.

Should restoration ads run overnight?

Yes, if a person answers overnight. A night-time caller with water coming through the ceiling rings the next company on the list when you don't pick up. If nights go to voicemail, keep emergency ads to the hours you cover.

How do you track a job whose value comes from an insurance claim?

We mark the call as a won job when you book it, then import the job value once the claim pays, as long as it falls inside the window Google allows for conversion imports. Google then bids for searches that become paid claims, not for any call.

Should I buy pay-per-call leads?

Pay-per-call networks and lead sellers can fill gaps, but the caller may reach several restorers and you never own the data. Ads in your own account cost you the click and give you the customer, the call recording and the history.

Does Meta work for water damage restoration?

Not for emergencies: someone with a flooded basement searches Google. Meta can help with retargeting, mold remediation offers and reaching property managers who send you repeat work.

Do you also advertise fire, mold and storm damage?

Yes, each in its own campaign with its own landing page and budget, because the searches, urgency and job values differ from water damage.
