Health & supplements
Octomize is a supplement marketing agency for online stores selling vitamins, minerals, protein and herbal products. We write ads and product feeds to Google's and Meta's health policies and to the claims rules in each market, fix Merchant Center disapprovals, and set up tracking that keeps working when Meta restricts health data. You see what a new customer is worth across their reorders, not only on the first order.
What's included
Your ads face three sets of rules before a customer sees them. Google’s healthcare and medicines policy bans supplements with pharmaceutical or dangerous ingredients, products that imply they work like prescription drugs, and unapproved products marketed to prevent, cure or treat a disease. Merchant Center applies a similar list to Shopping ads, so one feed title can get a product disapproved.
Meta limits supplement ads to people 18 and over and bans claims to cure diseases such as diabetes or cancer (Meta health and wellness policy). Its personal attributes policy rejects copy that implies the viewer has a condition: “New diabetes treatment available” passes, “Do you have diabetes?” fails.
Then come the claims laws. In the EU a health claim must be authorised and listed before you use it (Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006), and you can check each one in the EU register of health claims. Great Britain keeps its own register. EU law also bans saying a food prevents, treats or cures a disease, in ads as well as on labels (Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011, Article 7). US supplements can carry structure/function claims with a disclaimer, but not disease claims (FDA).
Google Shopping and Performance Max come first, since people search for a nutrient or a product by name. We clear disapprovals, keep feed titles to ingredient, form and dose, and group products by margin.
Meta Ads for supplement brands sell on what the rules allow: ingredients, sourcing, taste and routine. Signal is the harder part. Meta can put a health site in a restricted data source category, and core setup then strips custom parameters and everything in a URL after the domain. Meta also bars health information from event names and URL parameters (Meta Business Help). Our tracking and profit data setup runs on TAGGRS server-side tracking and ProfitMetrics, both official partners, and reports reorders by the first product a customer bought.
Supplement stores selling in the United States, the United Kingdom and the EU. Each market has its own claims rules, so we write ad copy per market instead of translating one set.
How it works
We read your product pages, feed titles and current ads against Google's and Meta's policies and the claims rules where you sell. Anything that reads as a disease claim gets rewritten before we spend.
We work through Merchant Center disapprovals product by product and fix the wording behind them. Products with ingredients Google won't accept at all come out of Shopping, so they stop dragging the account down.
We keep health information out of event names and URLs, check how Meta has categorised your site, and send orders, subscription starts and margin back to Google and Meta.
We raise spend on the entry products that bring customers back, judged by reorders and margin, not by first-order ROAS alone.
What we do: the system
Before we touch an account, we set the plan: which channels, what budget, what a lead or a sale is worth to you, and what we test first.
Most paid traffic is lost on the page, not in the ad. We build or rework the page around one offer and one action, then keep improving it on real visitor behavior.
If the numbers are wrong, every optimization is a guess. We set up tracking that holds up against ad blockers and cookie limits, and send real outcomes back to the ad platforms.
With the plan, the page and the tracking in place, we build the campaigns and optimize them every week on real data.
You see sales, profit and lead quality, the numbers your business runs on, not clicks and impressions.
Once the system runs, the data shows where else you can grow. We bring you the ideas.

FAQ
Google's healthcare policy bans some ingredients outright, products that imply they work like prescription drugs, and products marketed to prevent, cure or treat a disease without government approval. Often the problem is wording on the product page or in the feed, and we can fix it. Products with banned ingredients can't run in Shopping at all.
Yes, to people 18 and over. Meta rejects ads that imply the viewer has a condition, such as asking whether they have diabetes, and it bans claims to cure a set list of diseases. We write copy around ingredients, sourcing, taste and routine instead.
Only claims authorised for that nutrient or substance, under the conditions of use listed with them. The EU keeps a public register of authorised and rejected claims, and Great Britain keeps its own. Saying a food or supplement prevents, treats or cures a disease is banned in EU advertising as well as on the label.
Yes. US labels can carry structure/function claims about how a nutrient supports the body, with a disclaimer that the FDA has not evaluated the claim. The EU and the UK work from fixed lists of authorised claims instead, so we write separate copy for each market.
Meta can place a health and wellness site in a restricted category. With core setup on, Meta drops custom parameters and everything in a URL after the domain, and some custom audiences stop updating. You can see the category in Events Manager and ask Meta to review it if it looks wrong.
