Meta
Add your agency as a partner in Meta Business Suite
In Meta Business Suite, open Settings › Partners, click Add, then Give a partner access to your assets. Enter the business portfolio ID your agency sent you and share your ad account, Facebook Page, Instagram account and dataset (Pixel). Your business keeps ownership, and you can remove the partner at any time.
Steps
-
Open Settings in Meta Business Suite for your business portfolio.
-
In the left menu, under Users, click Partners.
-
Click Add, then Give a partner access to your assets.

-
Enter the business portfolio ID your agency sent you in Partner Business ID and click Next.

-
Choose the assets to share and the access for each (see below).
-
Click Assign assets. If another person with full control has to approve, ask them to.
What to share
| Asset | Access to give |
|---|---|
| Ad account | Manage campaigns and View performance |
| Facebook Page | Ads, Content and Insights |
| Instagram account | Ads, Content and Insights |
| Dataset (Pixel) | Manage events dataset if the agency sets up tracking, otherwise Use events dataset |
| Catalog (online stores) | Manage everything if the agency runs your product feed, otherwise Basic |
Our notes
- Keep finance with you. “Manage ad accounts” (full access) also controls payment and permissions. An agency running campaigns doesn’t need it.
- Meta’s naming changes often. You may see “full control” in some screens and “full access” in others. They mean the same thing.
- Common mistake: sharing the Page but not the Instagram account. Instagram ads then run from the Page only, without your Instagram name on them.
- What happens next: we check the dataset’s events and your domain verification before launching anything.

FAQ
Questions
Should I add the agency's people as users instead?
No. Partner access gives the agency one connection that they manage on their side. When you end the work, you remove one partner, not a list of people.
Can the agency share my assets with someone else?
No. Meta lets only the business that owns an asset share it with another business portfolio, even when the partner has full access.
